The Mountains

Levi and I got to go to the mountains and visit his Grandpa and Grandma. We had a great time and here are some pictures with the flowers. My camera was playing funny tricks on me that is why some of them have weird colors.

PwC Sponsored 5k

Well, PwC sponsored another 5k race, this time for a program called "Girls on the Run," so I volunteered to represent PwC. Alicia didn't like the fact that I'd be running around with girls and probably chasing girls during the race, but in the end, she was supportive. Haha.
As the name of the program indicates, it's for girls, so there were only 85 males who showed up to participate, while there were 485 females. Since about 80% of those females were 18 or younger, I guess I can't really brag that I came in 9th overall for my division (males), and 13 overall for the whole race with a time of 24 mins. 51 secs. On the other hand, those little girls can really run, so maybe I should brag! Haha.
At the end of the day I was just proud of myself for getting out of bed early on a Saturday and forcing myself to run. That doesn't happen very often. If anyone wants to know more about Girls on the Run, I put a blurb below, and they have chapters all over the U.S.
Girls on the Run® (GOTR) of Denver uses the power of running to change the way girls see themselves and their opportunities! It is an innovative health education and wellness program that uniquely combines training for a 3.1 mile run/walk event with life-changing, self esteem enhancing lessons that encourage healthy habits and an active lifestyle in 8-13 year old girls. Girls learn to stretch themselves - physically, mentally, socially, and emotionally - and in the process, gain the skills needed to live a life full of self-respect and healthy habits.
