After 2 MONTHS of waiting, I finally found out that I passed the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) exam!
What does this mean, you ask? It means three things: 1)now that have a certification under my belt I am eligible for promotion at work(still won't be promoted until year 3, but at least I'm eligible) (2) I now get a pretty bonus from work for passing and (3) it means I'm smart! Ok, maybe not, but I try. It probably just means I'm more of a geek than I was before! Haha.
I took this exam back in June after studying for a whopping 30 hours. I didn't really tell anyone cause if I failed, I didn't want to have to tell everyone. I needed to either pass this test, or the CPA test, and since I still need more accounting classes before I'm eligible to take the CPA, I opted for the easier test.
Now I'm looking into where I can take additional accounting courses around Denver so that I can eventually take and pass the CPA exams. Wouldn't that be cool to have a CPA in the family??? Well, maybe not cool...but convenient, right?
Yay for me! - Josh
