House!

Well we bid on a house today! A little scary for us but we are excited to see if we won. We did bid quite a bit lower than asking price so we might not win. We will know sometime tomorrow if we won or not. The house is a 2002 3 bed 2.5 bath with a big back yard. The house will need a little work but we are up for the challenge! We will let you know tomorrow how it goes!

5 Months Old

Levi is five months old today!!! I can't believe that he is already 5 months old. It really has flown by. He is so fun! He went swimming this weekend with his Trail cousins and started eatting rice cereal. He loved swimming but doesn't love the rice cereal so much. I guess we will try the oatmeal!! Here is Levi today after church in the outfit that his Daddy bought him in Texas. We love you Levi!!!!

Yes he is in his own room now, although I am very sad about it I know it is a good thing! Sorry the pictures are all over the place I haven't figured that part out yet!

California Trip

Josh had to work in Dallas for the last two weeks. So Levi and I flew out to visit with Josh's family while he was working. I normally go and stay with my family but Josh and I was his family to get close to Levi as well so we are going to try and travel there as much as possible. Josh was able to come on the weekend for his nieces baptism and for his Grandpas funeral. It was a busy weekend but we enjoyed seeing a lot of family and Josh even got to go surfing a little bit. I was nervous flying with Levi for the first time without help. I had him on a front pack my carry on and a diaper bag. Luckily for the help of many strangers we made it OK. Levi didn't enjoy the plane as much as a four month old but he did OK with only a few crying moments waking the people around us on the plane. While we were there Levi went swimming for the first time, played with his cousins, aunts and uncles, and grandparents. We love having photographers on both sides of the family because everywhere we go we get awesome pictures!!! Jared and Jenni did a little shoot of Levi for us in his new outfit that Rachel gave him. He is getting so big and cute! He is rolling over, laughing a lot, and is such a good baby. We enjoyed going to the beach although it was cold. It is warmer here today in Denver than it was the whole time I was in California! Levi and I just went for a walk and it was 74 degrees. It is so nice here today! A Pumpkin Pie in March?

Yes, it's true! I made my first pumpkin pie today...in March!

I taught a lesson in Elder's Quorum today that had to do with self-reliance and thinking for yourself vs. just following instructions given to you by others, and relying on them to think for you. I related it to cooking with someone else's recipe vs. creating your own recipe as you go, and so I came home with cooking and food on my mind (probably because it was Fast Sunday!).

I told Alicia I wanted to cook something, and it turned out we had the ingredients to make Pumpkin Pie!

I decided to go all out and make the crust and filling myself, and it turned out pretty good! You know you're jealous of my pie! Yum...it was good.
